    3. Grandma, My brother and a friend of his are looking into the rolls and other papers. For years I was a war with my self, I know I didnt belong to one group and I did not fully belong to the other. The two bloods in me would fight all the time, now we live in peace, that happen when I fully accepted who I am. I am Cherokee and I am also white. After I started going to church 5 years ago they accepted me for being of both. That is what has to be described as a "brief shower"!! The patio was damp, not wet and in 30 minutes the patio surface was "bone dry." Oh, for some more of the wet stuff. . . . . . Bettye True, I can believe it. Our lake Merideth is slowly shrinking. If we don't get enough water to start filling it up. a lot of places like Amarillo, Lubbock, and Plainview will have to find alternate sources of water, not to mention this little town of Fritch will be in real trouble. grandma

    2. Yes, the knowledge is still here. It will not go away. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication but I believe those who truly seek after it will find it. But it will not come to me or you and say here i am, take me. Much of the history is located in the book of the old testiment. What has happened since that time is still with the people. The records written by the envaders of this country have a few grains of truth but to know the real truth of the Cherokee people, you have to get it from the Cherokee people. Much is found in their stories. grandma > shame that so much of the heritage has been lost to so many. I am grateful there > are still many though that remember and practice the heritage and are willing > to share the knowledge.
