    3. Take the saddle off. I never used one riding fence, just bags for the tools . No ridge on the bare back. I took a couple old saddle belts and made stirrups to make the ride better. It worked good, just dont put the foot in there to get up on the horse <G> I found that out ( Plop) right on the ground, so you gotta get up like bare back. 3. Alli- My grandfather used a spray that he mixed himself to keep fruit trees from blooming too early. Sure wish I had paid attention to what was in the mixture. I'm sure it was all natural as he was Cherokee. WES-Norma

    3. Oh Shadow Bear, you have me laughing very hard. I was raised on a ranch and rode horses often but I can't imagine straddelng one now for a long period of time. But I'll bet Spirit Wolf could :) I already have me seeds bought and my garden tilled. My peach trees think it is spring already and have blooms all over them. Next frost will kill them back. :( I had to do a little work on my reel. It wouldn't cast out. Had to clean it and put new line on it.I'd rather use my cane pole any way. WES-Norma

    3. I love riding horses & working cattle. Haven't done that since I was single & in my late teens & very early 20's. I haven't really been riding for 12-13 yrs. Now I'm out in some beautiful country & don't have a horse old enough to ride :( Need to get some seeds for my garden too. Can't till up my garden until the ground dries up a bit. Go out there now & I'd sink a foot or more LOL Thankfully our Apricot tree isn't in a hurry to sprout (our stupid weather can't decide if its winter or fall) I've actually got to check into spraying it before it gets leaves & blooms. Got tiny biting bugs that end up on it & hopefully I can keep them from coming around this year. 3. Good morning everyone! Sleepy times were disturbed shortly after 1 a.m. with a loud clap of thunder and lightning and the noise didn't last long and back to sleepy land figuring the rain clouds had passed us by another time; however, we awoke to light rain falling - all soaked in as there wasn't enough to create run off! We have had about 9 or 10 hours of slow raining - it wont be enough to put water into the lakes. It might put a little winter rye and other grasses into the pasturelands, but I heard a "truck farmer" speaking this morning that this is too little too late that will be noticed in the local farmers markets as well. The sky sounds like a boom box right now. Bettye
