SO I am challenging everyone to locate factual information related to Cherokee research and post one thing a month in the coming year. Donate transcribed deeds, wills, estate records, obits, court records, etc. Any takers? Joyce Gaston Reece

    3. I live off grid, because I had off grid experience when I was a kid. I liked it, mainly the farm and the animals back then, now I like the no bills. Just those we cant avoid if we have a car and phone. Its just like the pioneers, Indians and such. We do things like they did, and am learning more because being off grid allows the mind to invent things to solve needs. I don’t need the net. I like the net, it’s a difference. I do need a fine - my wife's in a medical life. We have a campfire in the front yard. I am still working on my blacksmith shop, its got a roof now. From: White Bison Sent: Monday, December 31, 2012 2:21 AM To: danm@d-matney.com Subject: Elder's Meditation of the Day - December 31 Elder's Meditation of the Day - December 31 "They must give themselves to Wakan' Tanka and live a spiritual life. They will have the peace that frees them from fear." -- Frank Fools Crow, LAKOTA There are two wills available for us: self will and God's will. Our choice is: figure it out ourselves, or have the Creator involved in our lives. If we are honest with ourselves and look at past experiences, what are our lives like when we try to figure it out ourselves? Is there fear, confusion, frustration, anger, attacking others, conflict, fault finding, manipulation, teasing others, belittling others or devaluation? If these things are present, they indicate that we are choosing self will. What is it like if we turn our will over to the Creator? What are the results if we ask the Great Spirit to guide our life? Examples are: freedom, choices, consequences, love, forgiveness, helping others, happiness, joy, solutions, and peace. Which will I choose today, self will or God's will? Creator, I know what my choice is. I want You to direct my life. I want You to direct my thinking. You are the Grandfather. You know what I need even before I do. Today I ask You to tell me what I can do for You today. Tell me in a way I can understand and I will be happy to do it. To unsubscribe, click here. 1. [Cherokee Circle] Last Chance to Help the Buffalo in 2012
    2. Daniel Brister, Executive Director
    3. Buffalo Field Campaign is the only group working in the field and in the policy arena to protect America's last wild bison. Dear Supporter, There's still time to make a tax-deductible donation to Buffalo Field Campaign in 2012. Your contribution will help Buffalo Field Campaign fight for the lives of hundreds of buffalo that state and federal agencies plan to kill this winter near the Yellowstone border. http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/2426/p/salsa/donation/common/public/?donate_page_KEY=9317 Citing a "skewed sex ratio" resulting from their own slaughter operations, government agencies recently announced their plans to kill at least 400 female bison in the coming months. Buffalo Field Campaign (BFC) plans to intervene, and needs your support to protect these bison and their right to migrate. A donation of just $10 will house, feed, and equip a BFC volunteer for a day of field patrol. These patrols directly protect the bison, document their mistreatment, and inspire a wide range of bison protection efforts. A more generous donation will help fund our legal work, research, our our work in Congress to stop the slaughter of America's only continuously wild bison population. Buffalo Field Campaign is counting on your year-end contribution today so we can continue our battles for the buffalo's right to roam and our work to save the 400 buffalo mommas slated for slaughter. Thank you for believing in a future where humans and wild bison can co-exist and for your support of our work. Sincerely, Dan Brister Executive Director Buffalo Field Campaign PO Box 957 West Yellowstone, MT 59758 Click here to unsubscribe: http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/2426/t/7926/p/salsa/supporter/unsubscribe/public/?unsubscribe_page_KEY=42
