His daughter, Nancy, was my grandmother. His mother's name was actually Mary Jane Creasman. Wallace married Cornelia Ann McCann under the name of Robert Windham in Avoyelles Parish, LA. My granny said she was about 8 years old when he finally told them his real name was Wallace Alexander Chaudoin. They were traveling by wagon to Indian Territory in Oklahoma to visit his sister, Sophronia Angelina Chaudoin Henderson when he told Grandma Cornelia. Granny said it took them 3 months to reach Elmer, OK. Grandpa Chaudoin would stop and work along the way to earn money to buy supplies or barter his labor for supplies. They apparently lived there for a while before moving back to LA. I do have a pic of Grandpa Wallace and Grandma Cornelia on my page if you would like to look at it.
