Austin M. Chaudoin b Abt. 1817 Green County, Kentucky d 23 February 1847 Buena Vista, Mexico "Whereas, I, Austin M. Chaudoin of Green County, Ky am entitled an individual interest in the estate of my Grandfather Andrew Chaudoin Dec'd in conjunction with my Brothers & Sisters, we being the children and heirs of David Chasudoin, who was a son of sd. Andrew Chaudoin, & whereas I am now on the eve of leaving this State for Texas in the Volunteer Company, raisedfor that purpose and may never return, & whereas I am desirous of securing the said undivided interest I own in said estate to my mother Sarah Chaudoin & giving to her full and complete control of any right and title & interest in said estate, I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my mother said Sarah Chaudoin my true and lawful attorney in fact for me & in my name to receive and receipt for or to sell and convey any & all of my said interest in and to the said estate ofmy Grandfather aforesaid of every description, both real and personal of whatever may be coming to or due me & I do hereby fully authorise the Administrators of sd. Andrew Chaudoin, Thomas & John Chaudoin to pay over to said Sarah all my interest in said estate, & I do hereby authorise said Sarah torecipt to said Administrators for all of my paid Interest in said estate, and to receive into her possession all of my said interest from said Administrators of every Kind or description & to Keep and control, to use and enjoy the same she may think fit in any and every way thought fit and proper & I do hereby furthermore declare that in the event of my never returning or in the event of my death, I do hereby and by these presents desire that my said mother shall have and enjoy as her own forever all my right, title, & undivided interest of every Kind and description in &to the estate aforesaid both real and personal. The foregoing instrument of writing purporting to be a power of atty transfer or will of Austin M. Chaudoin was produced in court & proven by the oaths of S. A. Spencer & John C. Gum the two sub_____ witnesses thereto have been signed sealed and ackl'd. by the said Chaudoin as his __ __ ___ deed or his last will and testament ______ was approved of by the court and ordered to be recorded where upon the same with this certificate hath beenduly admitted to record in my office this 14th May 1847.
