Shadowin in Hart County, KY, however, when trying to verify, this is how I found the surname spelled when enumerated in Hart County, Kentucky. Does anyone recognize this family and their CHAUDOIN connection, as I would assume that that the spelling should be SHADOWEN? No other CHAUDOIN or variant spelling appears to be in the area.
