    3. Hi Audry, I believe this John Shadowen is my ancestor John M Chaudoin who went to IL early and during this time period. My John M CHAUDOIN was the one who helped organize the church in saline Co., IL He died on 21 Jun 1843 in Gallatin Co., IL. He was a baptist Minister. He also served in the VA Militia during the Rev. War and was a Patriot. I have the old kitchen clock that he and his wife Sarah WILKERSON CHAUDOIN owned. I have a lot of data on this line.
