I have "organized" all the appx 525 Shadoan (and about 20 variations) of people / families in Pulaski CO, KY via Census 1830 to 1930. I have found Reuben, William in 1830 and Saml, Lucy in 1840 Census. Reuben is indicated as born in Virginia in 1850/1870 Census. I have found the Pulaski Co "earliest" marriage record of Samuel Shadowen to Sarah James on 25 Dec 1837. Samuel is indicated as born in KY in 1870 Census. Does anyone know of definitive research documentation on Reuben/William AND/OR on who/when/how the Shadoan family came to Pulaski Co. ?? Any Birth/Death Records, Tombstones, Family Bibles, Wills, Marriages, etc. that would help definitively document these lines ? Am aware of "Chaudoins of Virginia 1750 to 1900", but am a bit skittish about the quality of that document. Any assistance / clues would be greatly appreciated.
