In R. S. Sanders CHAUDOIN papers was a letter dated 2 July 1985 from Mrs. Lawson (Virginia) Nichols of Columbia, Missouri. The letter is addressed to Mr. H. B. Morton of Irvington, Kentucky concerning Mr. Morton's request for PAINE/PAYNE and BLYTHE information. Perhaps someone may recognize a CHAUDOIN, etc. family connection. Audrey Along the side, Mrs. Nichols has a list of "Lawson & Virginia's Ancestral Lines:." These include Allen, Askins, Bates, Betz, Blythe, Bowne, Boyd, Bullard, Burnett, Carter, Carner, Chaudoin, Constant, Cornell, Claiborne, Clinkinbeard, Crawford, Dabney, Dale, Davis, Duncan, Feake, Fones, Forbis, Foster, Glenn, Gurganey, Hamilton, Harbour, Harris, Hedger, Hollingsworth, Jones, Lampley, Lupton, Martin, Melson, Mooney, Morris, Nichols, Paine (Payne), Phillips, Overton, Sapp, Shaudoun, Smith, Spry, Stevenson, Steward, Strode, Thomason, Thorne, Witt, Winn (Wynne). She does not indicate which are of her line and which are of her husband's line, so we do not know how Chaudoin and Shaudoun might fit into one of their lineages. Extract of information evidently in response to a query written to her from Mr. Morton: Priscilla Paine (Payne) born 2 Feb 1810 Kentucky; died 1 Apr 1886 Boone Co. or Calloway Co., Missouri. Married (1) Joseph Spry who d 24 Oct 1843 Married (2) John Blythe, bro/o Daniel Blythe. Indicates: Daniel Blythe (bro/o John Blythe) was her "great-grandfather on another line!"
