We have in our family files that James C. CHAUDOIN was a s/o David C. CHAUDOIN (1766-1839 Marion Co., TN) and Mary DAVID (1773-1853). James C. CHAUDOIN (1795-1837) is said to have married perhaps a Mary or Anne RANKIN, but this is not proven, so is still controversial. We do have in this family a Pleasant CHAUDOIN (1831-1914), s/o Benjamin S. CHAUDOIN (1793-1869 Green Co., KY) & Henrietta GUPTON. The given name of Pleasant is not known to be elsewhere in the family. I note within your message you have the same given name in Pleasant C. DAME. Does any of this perhaps "ring a bell" for you?
