I would say it's a good chance that they were married in one of these counties. I have a picture of Lizzie Little and from the grave markers at Mt. Bethel Cemetary in Cherokee County, it appears that this would be a daughter in law to Sarepta. I too have always heard that our "indian blood" came from the Shadowens. I don't have any record of their mother. Some say Anne Rankin but I just don't know!

Her father was James C. Chaudoin and her paternal grandfather David Chaudoin. Sarepta married William H. Little and they lived in Cherokee County, Alabama. William was killed in early May of 1863 at Chancellorsville, VA. Sarepta and her children are listed alone on the Cherokee Co., AL 1870 & 1880 censes records. Sarepta had 2 brothers, David Franklin and Calvin Morgan. She had 4 sisters, Martha, Emily, Louisa and Mary. I am seeking information on the place and date of her marriage to William, and would like to find the name of her mother. Family lore seems to believe Sarepta's mother was Cherokee. Would appreciate help from anyone. Thanks.
