Hello Pat, Well, I think I can help you. First of all, my line is also William, William, Joseph, and then goes to Moses who was Job's brother. You can find a family tree I put together some time ago at my website at http://www.chace.demon.nl On the left hand side click on Joseph Chace Family Tree. You will find your Job and Jonathan as well. Cromwell was Mary Chase's father. She married Miller Chace who was the half-brother of Elijah Cornell, father of Ezra Cornell. Sibbel Robinson lived with Miller and Mary Chace for quite some time when she was a widow. She lived into her 90s. You will find some of your Chaces buried in Fall River at the Oak Grove Cemetery. Miller Chace and a lot of the Chace family are buried there. Cromwell Chace is buried there and I have a photograph of his gravestone that I have attached to this email. Also, you will find Lizzie Borden buried there. Anyway, I have a copy of Joseph Chase's will and it lists Job as one of his sons. Perhaps you are interested in it. I can probably help you more. I will have to look at my records. I don't think I have any copies of letters of Cromwell, but I do have some letters written by his daughter Mary who would be your great great great aunt. Cromwell was the uncle of Samuel Buffington Chace who married Elizabeth Buffum. They were quite famous for their abolishionist activities and were part of the Underground Railroad. There is a bust of Elizabeth Buffum Chace on the second floor of the Capitol Building in Providence. She is considered "The Conscience of Rhode Island." Samuel and Elizabeth are buried in Swan Point Cemetery in Providence. There is also the North Burial Ground in Providence and that is where my great great great grandmother Rebecca Chace and my great great grandmother Lucretia Chace are buried. Lucretia was Ezra Cornell's sister. By the way, you can find a photograph of Miller Chace and Mary Chace and family at my website as well, look under Chace Family Photos - theirs is the first one. Take a look around, you will probably find some other interesting pieces of information, especially in the Chace and Cornell Family Letters section. There are several by Miller and Mary to be found there and they reference a lot of the family members. If I remember correctly, Miller mentions Job Chace and I think Jonathan quite a number of times. There a references to the Earle family as well. Hmmm, let's see, that should be enough to get you started. I will see what else I can find. But, it would be best if you asked me specific questions, otherwise I like to ramble on. Cheers, Jeffrey Chace http://www.chace.demon.nl
