Hi fellow Chase researchers, I am working on my wife's family tree and would like to share my own stonewall. Maybe someone on the list has a big enough hammer. I have her traced through to these three final individuals: 1) Reverend Lewis Chase (b. 7 Jan 1814 in Hoosick, NY; d. 28 Feb 1896 in Oswego Co., NY) married Abt 1840 to Almira Hoffstetter (b. 1816 in Mohawk Valley, NY; d. 19 Aug 1881 in Oswego Co., NY). Lewis' father was: 2) Tallman Chase, who died Abt 1826. Was a soldier in both the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. Marriage unknown. Tallman's father was: 3) Jonathan Chase (b. Abt 1721, d. Abt 1812), miller of flour. I see the Tallman Chase, son of John Chase in the Chase database. Does anyone know if these are the same individuals (Jonathan being John)? Tallman does not seem to be a very common name, and it would make sense since John's mother's last name was Tallman. Glenn
