I, like David, must wonder just what the ill-will toward Broderbund is really all about. I use their products, including the voluminous data that they make available (for a price, admittedly, but after all, they are in business for reasons other than to give you free stuff). Their copyright is, as David points out, neither unreasonable nor unique. My suggestion to close this issue is that each individual do whatever he or she wants with respect to giving or not giving Broderbund the data that he or she independently developed, and leave both the Chase rootsweb data base and the other contributing individuals be.
