    1. Re: [CHASE-L] RE: Sherman-Chace/Chase?
    2. Jeffrey, As I mentioned in my previous message---the Shermans are so easy to research as they are connected to so many famous people. You have an advantage over all of us as their origins are in Dedham===and they claim Yaxley, England. When you go to JWivenhoe you are only a very short distance away from Wivenhoe as you well know and it would be a shame to miss it as you have such beauty to see there. Also, the Parish Church in Dedham is worth a visit as the Shermans have dedicated in the Sherman name there. Yaxley is interesting too, but I would suggest you contact the Sherman Group on Internet as they have absolutely extensive information on the family and where we connect and where everyone connects. It is very very interesting to study this name as they married into so many famous families. I gave mounds of information about them in my Chase/ce book and still have loads of information about them. As I mentioned before Michael Wood of London was writing them often for the New England Genea. Monthly magazine. He is the person I suggested you try to see if you should get back to London. The Genealogy Society is where he used to do research for people and he stems from the Woods in Dedham himself. Ginger in AZ
