Jim, Thanks a million for the pictures of the Elijah Cornell Chase House. I have posted them along with information about the house at my website. To find it, go to http://home.wanadoo.nl/j.b.chace choose "Chace and Cornell Family Letters" and then select "Letters of Elijah Cornell Chace." There you will find information about the house, a link to the photos that you sent me, and a letter at the bottom of the page which may be a record of the building of the house. If the house in the letter is the same as the current structure, then the Elijah Cornell Chase House was built in the spring of 1866 and not in 1869. Cheers and Thanks!
