I have been searching for almost ten years for the parents or siblings of Joseph Johnson CHASE, aka Johnson J. CHASE, who was born December 26, 1819 in either Greene County or Delaware County, NY. (He gave both in two different censuses). He and his wife are buried in Hannibal, Oswego County, NY. He died January 1, 1871 in Oswego County, NY. Married Abigail Havens, b. 1819 in Cayuga County, NY. Children: Henry, Orin, Mary L., Charles B., Arthur and Sarah Elizabeth, all b. in NY. All lines have been searched down to living descendants. No luck. There is a father and son team by the name of Joseph Johnson Chase, living in the Cayuga County, NY., and they are well researched. Mine may be related but no evidence to substantiate it. Local newspapers carrying his obit are not available for 1870 and 1871 (just my luck!). Any help, suggestions, etc would be appreciated.
