I recall seeing a great deal of electronic speculation about Aquilla and William. I don't recall seeing anything that "settled" the question. The beginning of Some of the Descendants of William CHASE of Roxbury and Yarmouth, MA, John Carroll CHASE and George Walter CHAMBERLAIN, NEHGR, V. 87, Jan 1933, Pg. 46+ doesn't seem to address who the first William's parents or siblings were and says that his wife was Mary _________ (doesn't say that it was Mary TOWNLEY).
