Might I make a suggestion to all who are enjoying all these abstracts of cemetery records on the Chase Surname. Do not assume that they are all that is available for any one county. I know for a fact on one county in particular (Tompkins County, NY http://www.rootsweb.com/~nytompki/ ) that showed just a few listings, but there are quite a few others in county. And there probably will be more as all the cemeteries are being updated. Joan Gerrits has done a tremendous job in gathering this info, and I do appreciate all her work in gathering this info. But please, continue checking on your own. Her listing has helped immensely in my own research, but am writing to remind "newbies" and the like - that there are more out there. If anything, each person should record and send the data to Joan (if she's going to maintain a database of such) from there own research and in searching the net. That is just my two cents worth.
