    3. For those interested in this family. A genealogy called "Some of the Descendants of William Chase of Roxbury and Yarmouth, Mass." by George Walter Chamberlain was published across several issues of the New England Historic Genealogical Society (NEHGS) Register from 1933-1934. This periodical has been published since the 1840s and is available in many genealogical and other libraries especially in New England. It is also in reprint in a paperback book format from the NEHGS. I bought a copy a number of years ago for about $10 plus S&H. However this format has no index, so I photocopied the annual indexes from the originals. Someone made comments about William Chase Jr. These stories probably came from this article. It has the following quotes from the original records: Rev. John Eliot of Roxbury wrote in the church records that William Chase Jr. was "a child of ill qualitys & a sore affliction to his parents". The following entry are in the General Court records for Plymouth Colony "William Chase Junr. for goeing into the house of Richard Berry, and taking away by violence a p'cell of flax and a smale p'cell of hose yarne, was sentanced to sitt in the stockes an houre on a training day att Yarmouth" Steve Barrett
