Derek, I wish I knew who this JAMES CHASE descended from. I do not even know when or where he was born. He does not show up on the 1820 census but, his wife Lydia (Norton) Chase does. I was wondering if anyone has a 1810 census or census CD who can find JAMES CHASE on it, where he lived and his age ?. More researching will have to be done to pin point him and where he came from. I am not even sure if he was in the state of NY in 1810. I do know he was there in 1814 because this is where Lydia Mary Chase, his daughter, claims she was born.
