I have been asked to expand on the following statemant made in my email of 28th of April:- "The objective is to create a CHASE database of people with CHASE blood and their spouses and parents of their spouses. If we were to include the complete families of spouses the database would be enormous and not what I believe we set out to do." Simply put I believe that if we were to make the database up to include families of those who married direct descendants of William,Aquilla & Thomas CHASE we would eventually show we are "related" to 100,000 people and that is being Very conservative. I have set up 2 Databases on my own WWW page at http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~khume/home.html PLEASE NOTE THIS ILLUSTRATION WOULD APPLY IF I WAS SETTING UP A HUME DATABASE but the same principle applies The first, "1) Hume family tree" has 1,795 names in it made up from the descendants of Sherman Hu(l)me and only includes direct Hume descendants,their spouses and the parents of their spouses. It includes 2 CHASE family only,the wife,Sarah Chase, of Peter Hume and her father, James P. Chase. The second 2) Ancestors,(and their families) of Keith Hume is the complete database I extracted the first database from.It has 3,746 and 750+ named CHASE It is my proposal that we concentrate on the Direct Descendants and spouses Remember that a DIRECT LINK from any person in the data base can be added by the person looking at the information on the WWW. Go to http://www.surnameweb.org/centers/p/partridge/ and search for CHASE and add an appropriate link. There are some 40+ Chase names there. SEE IT WORK Some surprise has been exhibited at this but it is so and it works and future enquirers will see this link and on clicking on it be able to either directly email to the Linker or access their WWW site. The list of Links is added to the Parent Chase directory so the administrator can contact whoever has made it. Hence contact with all concerned is applied.
