Gertie Lucille Chase (http://www.legacy.com/Script/CounterRedirect.asp?Name=GBLink_Top&Jump=/orlandosentinel/Guestbook.asp&Page=GuestBook&PersonID=17 495291) CHASE, GERTIE LUCILLE, age 90, of Ocala, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2006 at The Parks Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Orlando. A native of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Chase moved to Ocala from Key West sixteen years ago. She was formerly employed by The Southern Railway System in Washington, D.C. and was active in the Key West Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Henry Chase, of Ocala. Survivors include her son, Thomas J. Smith, III of Orlando; and two daughters, Gertrude Kirkpatrick of Fairfax, VA, and Ardath Johnson of San Diego, CA. She is survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Oscar Hunter Adams of Richmond, VA. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 1PM at the Baldwin-Fairchild Pine Castle Chapel, 5800 Hansel Avenue, Orlando.
