Hello again, Thanks to Art, I finally noticed the address for the Chase Web Page and there I found, maybe, the answer to my question about the discrepancy between my gr-grandmother's (Cornelia Chase) records and those on Nantucket Island. Cornelia's records indicate that Benjamin Chase 1736-1826, was married to Mehitable Thurston but Nantucket records say he was married to Margaret Gardner. From there on back, the Nantucket records are different from Cornelia's. I was very happy to see that someone, other than my gr-grandmother had records indicating that Benjamn married Mehitable Thurston and that the rest of the records on the Chase web page match my gr-grandmother Cornelia's records and even add some details for me. But where did the records at the Chase site come from? I wrote to Keith and he replied that they are from various gedcom files and family trees submitted to him over time and without sources. He suggested I ask all you Chase researchers for help. So here is the central question: Who submitted the file with Benjamin Chase 1737-1826, m. Mehitable Thurston. He is the s.o. Stephen Chase and Ester Buffington and the father of Benjamin Chase who m. Lydia Macy. Does anybody have any documentation for Benjamin and Mehitable? Barbara Babcock barbabcock@home.com
