To all those who have contributed donations towards the cost of research into Chase Armorial Bearings and Pedigree(s), I received a letter from the College of Arms, the following 1) is a transcript, and also a copy of 2) my email response to it. 1) "Dear Mr. Hume, Chase of Essex I wish to confirm receipt of your letter dated 29th August with its enclosed cheque for £120 for research to be carried out at the College of Arms into the official records of Arms granted and pedigrees recorded for CHASE of Essex and surrounding counties This work is now being put in hand and we will provide you with a report on our findings in due course. >To: ykherald@globalnet.co.uk >From: "k.hume" <khume@netcomuk.co.uk> >Subject: Re CHASE- Your letter of 3 Sept. > > 2) From K.N.Hume,-re CHASE. My original enquiry was in regard to The CHASE families believed to have lived in the Essex area and nearby counties. Further information suggests that there may have been a CHASE living in Cornwall or Wales who may have been granted Armorial Bearings. This information is passed to you from what I know however I would not wish the research to be confined to those areas alone." -: Unquote Can you please confirm that your research will be as I have requested.
