Derek, Thanks for the interest. I have found the Chase site and the list is great, although sometimes confusing due to the number of very advanced researchers in comparison to me. I have obtained a little more information about my Chase's, which I havn't had a chance to verify, but which fits with family lore so far. My chidren's ggrandmother was: Christine CHASE b 9/26/1898 m. Dressel Pangborn GROVER resided and died in Norwalk, Huron, OH 12/6/92 daughter of Burdette CHASE b. abt 1875 in Ashtabula, Lake, OH and Lena Runyan , daughter of George Washington RUNYAN and Carrie MESSINGER, of Huron Co., OH I believe Burdette is son of William H. CHASE b. 17 Sep 1850 Amcran, Columbia, NY d. 17 Sep 1914 Gorham, Fulton, OH and Sarah M. GRANT m. 1 Feb, 1872 Painseville, Lake, OH William is son of John W. CHASE b. 24 Oct 1820 in MA d. 5 Jan 1880 Painesville, Lake, OH and Emeline WATERS John is son of Job CHASE and Rachel WORLEY or MORLEY,. of CT? I am looking for connections and verification of this and additional information on Job, John and William, but have not found them in any of the lines on the website, so I am still searching. As you see from Christine's DOB and Burdette's marriage date, this was apparently a shotgun arrangement, and apparently Burdette did not stick around for very long, Needless to say, this was not a topic for discussion with Christine when she was alive, and thus the only information we had was Burdette's name. He apparently did not stick around very long, as Lena remarried into the CASTO family a few years later, and had a second child. The other information I received from Janelle Deelstra, who is apparently another descendent of John W. and who has been very helpful. Any further help in connecting this family will be appreciated!
