On p. 52 I quote.....One possible reason for the move to America..The late baptism of Aquila (2) and the absence of that of Thomas could be due to Aquila (1) being born of a nonconformist family, and probably Baptist. In this branch of the Chesham family there was a strong dissenting element. As often happened, a man who became prosperous and (perhaps at his wife's insistance) conformed to the Established Church.
