    3. Hi,Dick, Yes I have become aware that there is no proof of Aquilla's origins. I do point out in my preamble that ALL information in the database should be checked and that there is no guarantee of validity of the info. I do not want to "sever" this link but it might be a good idea to add a note to the American Aquilla that no proof of parenthood has been evidenced. I am all too well aware that there are those that will ignore this but I will maintain that without such unsubstantiated information I for one would never have found my CHASE links which are now prooved, or as much prooved as one could reasonably expect. Incidentally refering to "Selliman" should be "Jelliman". I have one line that shows this lady,"Jelliman being connected to William Chase " ..of the Winthrop Fleet" So the whole matter is suspect. So much confusion was caused by the frantic efforts of some CHASE families to prove their relationships to Mary TOWNLEY that much misinformation has accrued as a result but there has also been much positive info discovered. There is a place called Conwy in the UK.,Repeat CONWY, it is in North Wales. Did you search the UK Ordnance Survey Site which has a searchable database? There is a link to their site from my page, address below. It is a site you should "Bookmark" I must get more enquiries re places in the UK than I do on my family! You can also download a map of the UK if you need it. The fact is, to date I have been unable to find any reference that provides a clue to the parents of Aquila and Thomas. Postings on genealogical sites for anyone with any information on their ancestry have either gone unresponded to, or brought replies confirming that there does not seem to be any presently available evidence. (There also have, of course, been responses that sent me copies of the linkage that we now show, and which is displayed on myriad copies of copies of copies of Chase family trees that can be found on genealogical sites everywhere.) As I have previously stated, if it is the Chesham Aquila that married Martha Jelliman (our site shows it as "Selliman", by the way), then they (almost) absolutely cannot be the parents of the Hampton NH Aquila (based on Parish records). If a different Aquila married Martha, then we have no clue (that I have yet been able to find) what happened to the Chesham Aquila. By the way Keith, I do have a reference (of questionable reliability) that the Chesham Aquila moved to "Conway" (England). Nothing I have on your fair country shows such a place. Any ideas??
