    2. Dear Derek, I agree that Reuben could not have been in NB in 1776, unless he went up there to scout out the country for arrival later. Though, in 1776, there was no way the Loyalists could have known they would be defeated and driven from the US. It seems pretty clear that Reuben, and his son Reuben went up with the spring or summer fleet, in 1783-1784. I do believe John C. Chase does have it wrong. Almost everything written in Esther Clark Wright's "Loyalists of New Brunswick" about my ancestor, John London, is incorrect.
