    3. This question of copyright seem never ending. In the UK publishing BMD records is only a breach of copyright if you also copy comments re the records. Here all BMD Records are the property of the Government AND the family who they are part of. Now I am part of William CHASE's family so I would not be in breach under any circumstance. If you consider --how can it be possible to copyright yours,your mother's,your g.grandmother's details so you cannot use them as you see fit? The whole thing is an absolute nonsense. The PRO here make it clear that they do not mind photocopying ANY document that has public access. How did the author of the book obtain permission to use public records? I will bet he never did! he just went there and found them.
