Re: the quotes from Noble's version of the "solution "to the Aquila mystery -- before anyone gets too excited that this is indeed the answer, I would urge them to examine the collection of "facts" carefully. What is woven here is a clever tale that is partially based on well known factual records, and partially based on assumption and wishful thinking. Absolutely nothing new in the way of factual evidence is presented. By the way, the claimed "second burial" of Aquila noted in the Parish records in 1659/60 (the death and burial of Aquila the tailor are recorded in 1643/4) conveniently ignores the very real probability that this latter death was, in fact, that of the son Aquila whose 1626 baptism is noted in the Parish records. For all of you who are really weary of all this, I rest my case that the Aquila linkage shown on the Chase web site cannot be factually substantiated, and thus is very misleading. And I shall comment no further until new (real) evidence is presented. (And they all said AMEN !! ) Dick Chase
