Hi Everyone, I'm trying to follow up on some research I did on the Chase's in Nova Scotia year's ago. Evidently a number of New England Chase's that were Loyalists emigrated to Nova Scotia in the mid to late 1700's. My research showed most or all of them to be related and descendants of William Chase who came to Mass around 1630 and ended up in Yarmouth around 1638. His great-grandson Stephen Chase b. 2May1709 in Swansea with sons Joseph and Jethro were grantees in Cornwallis township in Nova Scotia around 1760. Zaccheus Chase b. 3March1759 also emigrated to Falmouth township Nova Scotia the same year (also descendant of William). I was not successful years ago linking my family to this line in Nova Scotia although it appears most likely. Working backwards my g.g.grandfather was James William Chase b. 10June1849 who married Annie Freedom Barkhouse. His father, my g.g.g.grandfather was John Chase with mother's name Julia (maybe) but that's all I have. My theory is that the descendants of the previous named Chase's that emigrated to Nova Scotia would provide the missing link but researching the web those lines that went to Nova Scotia always come to an end!! Any information on Chase's emigrating to Nova Scotia would be appreciated. Greg Chase Republic of Korea
