If so, the John D CHASE would be a descendant relative that submitted the information for the ordinance work. Jackson Andersen Provo, UT IBSSG<<<<< It could well be that Sybil was a "relative of John D. Chase", but don't count on it! On my grandfather's IGI, it indicates the same. Perhaps because I could get little to no other information on my grandfather for years, I would check all other possible resources to find some hints on him. So I did John D. Chase. Well, there is a John D. Chase, an early LDS, in the "Mormon Battalion, was a Bishop somewhere in Utah. I think you can get a bio on him on lds.org, under resources. Lonnie, I think ,posted information about this particular John D. from the "Chronicles" In the early days, from what I understand, often names were submitted which had the same surname. That; it would seem to be the case in my case. As always the IGI, CAN help and as ALWAYS check other resources. Harriet Chase
