Well, not necessarily far better, since those who were interested in Chases who had lived in MA, RI, NB, NS or Australia would know right off that you were to be contacted and those who were only interested in Chases who lived in Florida wouldn't contact you. The difference is in narrowing the search. I have found in my search for Courtrights that none of my line lived in the South for longer than a few winters, whereas the early ones, who were more difficult to narrow down, moved from NY to PA to OH. That track represents a thread common to certain Courtrights and helped me to narrow my search. When I receive mail from Courtright-L about Courtrights in Kentucky, I don't read 'em.
