All right! Baptists! I have so many upright Presbyterians in my background that a Baptist--indeed probably a whole line of Baptists--is most welcome! Thank you so much. You have provided some wonderful, colorful history here with people in snow-shoes waging war on the native people. You are drawing me inexorably into the web of American history. I have looked up the word, "ensign" and discovered that, although it is the lowest ranked officer in the US navy, in England it was the Ensign who carried the flag. This is an abbreviated definition.
