Hello Chases! Before I post this research in it's entirety, I would like to ask the list (I'm a newbie, so I beg your patience)about the "Chase Record". Before he died, my father did some research along with his brother George that seems to show us going directly back to William, brother of Aquilla and listed as coming to USA in 1629/30 with Governor Winthrop of Roxbury. The information on William and on William Jr., he says in his notes, is "copied from the original Chase Record, written by I know not." So, before I assume that this lineage is is correct, can I get somebody's more expert opinion? I have a good deal of information here, but here is the shorthand lineage without naming towns or any other siblings. William, born in Chesham, brings William Jr. "a lad of 8 years" to America in 1629/30. William Jr. b. 1622 d. 1658 marries twice, and has 4 children by each wife, one of whom is Samual. Samual m. Sarah Sherman in 1699. They had 10 children, one of whom was Phillip. Phillip b. 8/20/1715 m. Hannah Buffum, 9-8-1735 They had 11 children, one of whom was Caleb. Caleb (b. 10-31-1738) married Mary Manchester on 1-29-1761 and had 6 children, one of whom was John. John b. 1-29-1761 marries Mary Davis on 11-29-1787. They had 11 children one of whom was Wesley. Wesley b. 5-1806, d. 12-1-1868 married Lydia Pitts on 8-17-27. They have George Ellis Chase George Ellis Chase b. 9-8-1847 marries Susan Briggs 6-10-1868. They have George Merwin Chase, my great, great grandfather. George Merwin Chase marries Margaret Greenlaw (I am named after her) 5-20-1865, they have Wesley Chase Wesley Chase b. 8-18-1892 (my grandfather) marries Lucy Ester Wood (my grandmother) on 1-27-1926 and have my father, John Russell Chase, and my uncle, George Chase.
