Hi. This is what I have on my CHASE line. My G-grandfather was WINTON FRENCH BLANKENSHIP. He married ESTELLA CHASE of Jackson County WV on May 30, 1901. Estella was born March 16, 1876, daughter of William and Levina (Sayre) Chase. William's parents were John and Malinda (Kay) Chase. This is all that I really have at this point. I know that Estella remarried after Winton died in 1907. Her second husband was William Overton French of Rockcastle WV. Rumor has it that she married again after Mr French died. I haven't been able to confirm this, but she supposedly married Earl Smith of Columbus Ohio. This is where I grew up, as my Grandmother, moved to Columbus as a young woman of 18. I would love to find our where Estella is buried, but I have no clues as where to look. Seems that I haven't hit just a brick wall, but a huge mountain at this point. Any help, suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated!! Arlene What is your Chase line? My line ended up in Meigs County, OH about 1817 (Abel, Sr and his family) from Maine. I believe one of the sons may have moved to WV, at least for a time. Line: Oscar (8), Abel, Jr (7), Abel, Sr (6); Ezekiel (5); Roger (4); Thomas (3); Thomas (2); Aquilla. Sue Ed
