    3. Ok. Long enough in hibernation I suppose. Keith Hume's example is well taken. (Keith, put me in Kansas City, Missouri). I've just been quite busy I suppose. I went back to London a while back and was finally able to enjoy the Society of Genealogists. Beheld with my own eyes were volumes I had only seen quoted, referenced, or mentioned. Nice. However, the only real "breakthrough" I had, which was actually just an anecdotal recognition, was in perusing Banks's Topographical listing of Winthrop adventurers of whom William Chase and John Eliot were both members. John Eliot, later known as the Apostle to the Indians, is listed as also having come from Essex. Nazing to be precise. John Eliot knew enough of William Chase to record him and his family in the Church records in Boston. Well, it's not absolute proof that William Chase came from Essex, but it is some more supporting evidence that makes it likely. Yours, Jeffrey Chace
