Hi,Lisa, I can tell you that no CHASE appears in the Rogate Parish Registry from 1601 to 1628. Rogateis now in West Sussex and I have checked and there is no such entry. There was likewise a false report that William jnr was born there about 1623/4. As I have said previously the family were probably non-conformists and he "might" have been born there,but in the Parish Register-No way. With such an obvious error on such a key point one is forced to ask just how much of Gladys Chase's book is true.
