Hello Group, I thought I would offer one more bit of evidence that Eben Chase, son of Reuben, and Epenetus Chase, son of Reuben are the same person. As the decision on combining individuals in the database lies with the group, I decided to post this, instead of sending it to Keith. Please tell me - or Keith - what you think. Although this son of Reuben is listed as "Eben" in most Chase genealogies, I submitted a line from a copy of a letter I have written by his niece, Salome Johnson, asking how her "Unkle Epenetus" was doing. I agree that is probably not convincing enough. In Esther Clark Wright's, "The Loyalists of New Brunswick," the following is listed under land grants for the surname CHASE: Ebenetus Chase - 1st grant, Gr. Lake. This is the first time I have ever seen "Eben" and "Epenetus" referred to as the same person. What do other Reuben descendants think? Warmest Regards, Lisa Zajkowski
