Hi Jeffery, The closest Charles Chase I have is my G Uncle, born 28 Aug 1856. I am guessing at Vt. as that is where his brother, my grandfather Gilbert Paddleford CHASE, was born in McIndoe Falls, VT. 11 Aug 1858. No other info at this time. If there are any descendents of Christopher Columbus Chase and Susan Sanborn I would love to hear from you. He is my great grandfather. Priscilla Chase Marchbanks

Charles is not a very common "Chase" name. Perhaps that is why I photo-ed this one at Christ Church, Bethel, Windsor County, Vermont. But then I think I got most of the stones... it a rather small cemetery in the back of an old church right on the main road. The church is operated only in the summer... no heat nor water. Further, the Chases were very instrumental in establishing this church... mostly the "Cornish" (New Hampshire) Chases.
