Mary about 1620 she died 1659 He died May 1659 ( of Roxbury and Yarmouth) William Chase came fron England in 1630, brining his wife and oldest son, William, about 8 years old. He was a carpenter by trade and settled in Roxbury until 1637 when he moved to Yarmouth. In 1640 he was censured for misbehavior and ordered to leave the town within 6 months. June 6 1654, he was before the council for driving a pair of oxen, 5 miles on the Lord’s Day. In 1657, he was chosen one of the surveyors of the roads of Yarmouth. His will may be found in the Old Colony Record. It is dated May 4th 1659 and leaves 1/3 of his estate to his eldest son and the rest to Benjamin. The eldest son was slightly feeble minded. He was named freeman in the latter town in 1670 and was one of the original proprietors of the town of Dartmouth 1684. The Revolution shattered all this and left him nothing in his old age but his farms in Fairhaven and Amherst. When he died he gave one to each his sons and nothing to his only dau.
