I really don't know much about my Chase line. Maybe someone can tell me where I fit. My gr-gr-grandmother was Mary Chase. b abt 1832. Her sisters were Almira (married Merrick) and Sarah b 1835 (married Bell). Mary Married Newton Colby and is buried in Nunda, NY. The girls went to school in Nunda. I believe her parents may have been Levi and Elizabeth Chase. Elizabeth is buried in Nunda. Also buried in Nunda is Sarah, wife of Moses Chase d. July 1868. There are probably more Chase burials there, however the records were lost in a fire. I think the Chase family is from New Hampshire as is the Colbys. Colbys came onto Maine in 1630 then to NH.
