NOTE: Records Nathaniel as a Pvt in Patriotic Service, NH, MA (no military service). Gives baptism 2-8-1756 MA; died 12-18-26 NY; married (1) Rachel Pierce (2) Naomi Kelley. After years of research, I cannot find a reference to his being a Lt. However, this was apparently a likable man. Was it simply a "nickname" out of respect?
