    3. Yeah ... agreed. I have completed my linkages to join up with the William line, being Capt. George Bedford Chase, who had James P. Chase(my 5th g grandfather) the Loyalist who settled here . That is why i enquired as to who was handling the DNA page update. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard Chase" <rachase@triad.rr.com> To: <chase@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, August 25, 2006 6:58 PM Subject: Re: [CHASE] DNA test > Keith -- The Y chromosome dna does tend to mutate over a number of > generations, that is, the value of an individual allele (or marker) can > change between two generations. 3. Dick, I did not realise or probably forgot that you and I were both descendants of James P. Chase. I have powerful evidence that my Hume ancestor Peter married his daughter ,Sarah, in what is now New Brunswick and indeed some years ago I visited the site of Peter's first and later Land Grants The difference between you descent is I James P. was my 3 times Great Grandfather. The reason for this is my grandfather was born in 1835 near Baddeck,( This in a 100 year old letter written by him) and my Dad was born in 1890 with me being born in 1930. If I have no luck getting Dennis partridge I am prepared to put the data on another website but with an increse in interest I would prefer to leave it where it is at present.
