    3. This is some information that I received from Bucks, England. Please remember, Hundridge is just a place where some Chases lived. They may or may not be ancestors. Lonnie Chase chase1858@bwn.net ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ From Chesham town, five fingers of roads spread out into the hills to the north-west and west. Hundridge is situated on the `little finger' which stops short of the hamlet of South Heath. There were two large farmhouses, called Hundridge and Little Hundridge of which the former was later called Hundridge Manor. It was never really a manor but an outlying `home farm' belonging to one of the main manors in Chesham. The Chase family appear to have lived in the larger one way back. I have a feeling the building is now used as offices or conference centre by one of the large firms. If I have the right one, they are very difficult about letting anyone inside their gates and know/want to know nothing of any history. The present house was mostly built c1696, with more modern additions and refacings of the walls, so the basic look is Georgian. There is an older chapel, ruinous in 1504, repaired and used as a barn and a brewhouse, not in very good condition. We have old illustrations of both house and barn, which might possibly reproduce.
