ALL, PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE, if here is any among you who use aol mail system and have sent me gedcoms can you please publish,to the Group, how you did it. I now have two members whose gedcoms I cannot use as the Aol mail system breaks the messages up and sends as many seperate files. Failing this can anyone give me Aol Technical Support email address and I will ask and publish the results. I left them long ago because of their,then, shortcomings in the email side, MEG CHASE, your file also came thru as part of the message in txt. form and I cannot use for the same reasons as described. I must once again and for the last time refer all those having triuble with email to refer to their providers. If you are using Netscape mail,( and if you have a Netscape browser -- you can) then use that. You will need to set it up in their News and Mail preferences file in the Options... menu. You will see a "Button" with "Attach" and a picture of a paper clip on it. Click on it and select the file from your directory listing shown. It is as simple as that! Keith Hume Hi, I have got your gedcom but as you use aol the file is unuseable. It came in five seperate emails and as part of the body of the email. The only way I can use is when the gedcom is in one file as an Attachment. Please refer to aol and see if after all these years they have improved their very poor email system.
