I agree that most people involved in genealogy do share. That is why I was amazed that people, who by the way have never spoken up on the list, were sending me notes stating that they had 30,000 descendents of William CHASE but were not willing to send me the GEDCOM. Most people were kind and/or helpful. The reason I dropped the project was not because people will not share, but because the project has already been "completed" by atleast 5 others. There are many other projects to work on as we all know. Thanks Andrew Bond
