Hi everyone, James P. Chase, Loyalist, son of George (Capt) of Ansonnet, had a wife. He name was Elizabeth "Betty" Douglas...it is also possible she had some connection, perhaps as a lady in waiting to the queen (?)...There is a Briggs/Baker family letter which touches upon this in the Briggs file at the SJRL...... Does anyone know about this Elizabeth Betty Douglas or Douglass ? (She marr. James P. 15 Jan 1766 in Freetown MA) Thanks Derek Chase Saint John
