Judi, My line is Wm 1, Wm2, Joseph, Stephen, etc. Stephen went to Nova Scotia and had children there. He was married 3 times. Some descendants probably came back to the US. There is a "Log in" on the page you initially open for using the database, but I'm not sure why it's there since you just ignore it and enter your search names (upper right window) and the database opens immediately to show the list of names that meet your search criteria. My Chase's moved to IL about 1826 then before 1880 moved to IA as they were on the census of Pottawattame county, IA. None of your names are familiar to me although they could be related. My Chase's came from Saratoga, County, NY. Maxine

If any of you are looking for Chase relatives who went west, you may want to check out the Missouri State Archives. They have over 300 Chase's listed with their death info, many include their parents names and where they were born. It is _http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/_ (http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/) The dates covered are 1910 to 1955. I am very interested in Walter Chase and Deliverance Simmons, and how they connect to my line. My grandfather told me that our relatives came from Holland, but I have never been able to verify this and assumed he was mistaken.
